i was gonna say something…
…about Frank J’s big announcement, but he wouldn’t even let me, his own t-shirt babe, preview it (i asked nicely, too!). this is the first i’ve heard about this IMAO Teambuilding synergy thing; i hope all expenses will be paid by IMAO, Inc.
and i hope Frank realizes he doesn’t get to be the boss at the Grand Canyon; ’specially since i’m the experienced Grand Canyon hiker, and a chick.
of course, even though i knew nothing of this IMAO Teambuilding adventure, Frank made me do all the planning, make the arrangements, etc. so if it goes well, he will, in typical boss fashion, take all the credit for a wonderful teambuilding experience; if the trip is a complete disaster and we end up listening to loud music so we don’t have to talk to each other, i’ll surely have to carry his tent and take all the blame.
we’re hiking 28-29 miles in two days. my money’s on Frank to make it out alive; i just hope he sends a burrow down to retrieve my body. i’d better give him the $125 that they charge for burrow rides in advance.

WOOOOOHOOOOOO!!!!!!! I CAN FINALLY BREATH!!!!
August 16th, 2004 at 11:07 amyes, but it was a lovely shade of blue you were turning, Jonag.
Yay Sarahk! TAKE LOTS OF PICTURES!
August 16th, 2004 at 11:09 amAre y’all taking the North Rim trail down and back? That’s a 28 mile hike, if I recall. Something like a 6,000 foot elevation change, then ya gotta go back up.
August 16th, 2004 at 11:11 amI love it when a plan comes together. Romance is in the air. SarahK, be sure to pick up the champagne in advance, as Frank will probably be carded. Your humble readers demand pictures (shakes fist). If you need a substitute blogger to take over for a few days…hint hint.
Regards.
August 16th, 2004 at 11:15 amWho’s gonna chaperone?
August 16th, 2004 at 12:17 pmAre you offering, Spacemonkey? ;-)
August 16th, 2004 at 12:37 pmSorry, I thought you basically knew what I was going to say. I can change it :)
August 16th, 2004 at 12:39 pmme too, jonag! it’s been killin’ me! glad you don’t have a big mouth like i do. :)
Pam, 512MB of memory for my camera should be enough, right?
metallica rat, yes, we’re stoopid.
spacemonkey, since i’m so much older and more mature than frank, i’m going to chaperone. :)
frank, this whole IMAO adventure comes as a complete shock to me. but i’ll adjust.
August 16th, 2004 at 1:22 pmSarah, I know you already know this, but you gotta remember memory *and batteries* for the camera… Having said that, you can never have enough of either. In your shoes, I’d drag along a car battery with wheels, which is why I seldom go camping.
August 16th, 2004 at 1:28 pmWhat Sarah doesn’t know is that IMAO team-building exercises involve defeating rabid macaques with kung-fu and assembling a working .45 caliber handgun from tumbleweeds, sandstone, and a gila monster. What Frank doesn’t know is that his exercise will be to sit at a concert with 50,000 pot-smoking hippies without beating a single one of them.
Oh, and ninjas will be involved somehow.

August 16th, 2004 at 2:09 pm[well i dee-clare], Sarahk! I’m gone for a little bit, and theres all this crazy goings on!
Have fun, bring a peace tool, and drink lots of water down there.
August 16th, 2004 at 3:41 pmPam, Ahh, no, not volunteering, just feeling a little older brotherly I guess.
Sarahk, Ok, I guess.
August 16th, 2004 at 3:52 pmQuick question for you, SarahK. Did Frank ask you to go before July 21? (which is when I sent my question in. ^_^)
August 16th, 2004 at 4:11 pmWhat is this place I’ve fallen into? I was looking for a little spicey t-shirt photo-spot and I found a cogent and interesting link from a favorite blog. I love it when a plan…sort of…falls into…OK, I didn’t exactly have a PLAN, but…
Have a lovely trip, and send us lots of photos to enjoy.

what an excellent adventure!
August 16th, 2004 at 4:29 pmTHAT IS OUTRAGEOUS AND UNACCEPTABLE!!! $125.00 to ride a burrow is highway, I mean, dirt path robbery.
August 16th, 2004 at 9:21 pmA very ambitious hike. Bring plenty of water and a flare gun since the air conditioner won’t fit in one of those backpack thingies.
Watch out for my brother, SarahK. I may not be in country long enough to do that my self :)

August 16th, 2004 at 10:06 pmSarahK, you could save big bling (that’s cash to you non hip people out there) by bringing your own burros.
I like my burros with plenty of sour cream and guacomole.
Regards.
August 17th, 2004 at 6:40 amNot stupid. Only stupid if you do it in one day, like I did. Or almost didn’t do.
August 17th, 2004 at 10:57 amSarahk~ There’s a twenty with your name on it if you post a picture of a sleeping, drooling Frankie boy. :-D
Also, I’m not nearly as happy as you are about Jona’s abililty to keep her mouth shut. That ungrateful little wench! I introduced her to Frank and this is what I get? I thought our 20 year frienship came with a blabber clause-meaning, SHE TELLS ME EVERYTHING! I’m crushed. ;-)
I am sooo kidding, btw. :-)~
August 17th, 2004 at 11:41 amRoad Trip!
August 21st, 2004 at 1:49 pmJust because our beloved Frank has scampered off to see the Grand Canyon with IMAO tee shirt babe sarahk is no reason to quit reading IMAO, especially since the Divine Mister O (aka Harvey of Bad Example) is helping to…
